  • What is POD?

    Pirical On Demand is a cloud-based platform that can be accessed via a web link.


    POD enables your organisation's people leaders to self-serve from HR data and create visualisations using pre-built templates. 


    Options and filters allow users to adjust the scope and behaviour of each analysis.


    The analyses in POD are based on our studies of HR and DEI leaders since 2015. We are constantly adding new analyses, and would positively welcome your feedback and ideas as the product develops.

  • Is POD a global solution?

    Yes! POD supports many multinational companies with people and offices around the world.

  • Is it just for Fee Earners/Time Recorders or Business Services as well?

    All employees are in scope.

  • How does our data feed into the benchmarking? What do other firms see?

    All law firms signed up to POD contribute their data for benchmarking.


    Benchmarking data is only ever displayed in aggregate. We typically provide the market median/average, quartiles, and best-performing metrics. 


    Customers can select a set of peer firms, but there is a minimum number of firms to make sure no individual firm's data is identifiable.

  • How is POD priced?

    Pirical On Demand is offered as a subscription software service with unlimited user licences. 


    We are able to create as many POD accounts as you require.


    Pricing is a function of which analyses you have access to.

  • What is Assisted Service?

    Pirical analysts are available to help customers use POD to - for example:

    • set diversity targets
    • create bespoke reports or infographics
    • model different scenarios

    Using POD data. This service can help customers with capacity constraints or those requiring an external perspective about how to work with the data.

  • Is POD just for law firms?

    No. We have many law firm customers but our software can be used by any company. We would love to discuss your requirements.

Data

  • Which HR Systems does Pirical support?

    Our process is agnostic to the HR system you use.


    We support customers using hundreds of different HR systems including PeopleSoft, Workday, SelectHR, SAP SuccessFactors, Access, Cascade, iTrent, My Firm Profile, Lawson, Azets EPOS, Deltek, Compass, Cognos, Aderant, PeopleHR, MyPeopleManager, Open HR... and many more.


    We are flexible and can adjust to the uniqueness of your systems.

  • What data does Pirical require?

    We will send you a detailed data request during procurement.


    Our data request outlines what we require, both for initial setup and for refreshes thereafter.


    Most of what we ask for will be easily extracted from your HR Information System.


    We will take about 5 years' worth.

  • How do we get data to Pirical?

    We will work with you to extract raw data from your systems with minimum effort from your team.


    If your system has an API, we can also set up an extract from this.

  • Do we have to provide everything in the Data Request?

    It is better if you can provide as much as possible, but often this is not feasible (e.g. if you have changed HR system without the last 5 years, or some firms choose not to send Pirical their compensation data). This is not a problem, and we can be clear about what content you will not be able to access based on what data you do not send to us.

  • How often do we send data to Pirical?

    We will receive your data every month.

  • Can Pirical help us clean our data?

    Yes! Our proceesses can do a lot to clean and tidy up data to make it usable in POD. Our data consultants can scope issues with your team and propose solutions that work for everyone.

  • Can we download our data from POD?

    We cannot return a full dataset in raw format. It will only be explorable through the analyses in the POD app.


    We do offer the option to extract the more granular datatable underlying each visualisation, so you can validate the data directly.

  • Can Pirical handle multiple HR systems? Or older data stored in a legacy system?

    Absolutely. We can merge datasets like this. (And we like a challenge).
